It’s time to REJOICE…Batter Up!
Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. – James 1:12
Today as we look at James 1:12 for the last time, I want you to know this can be the hardest position for me in my life. And that my friend is to REJOICE for my current position or current circumstances or current trials. Before verse 12 James said to consider it all JOY when trials come your way in verse 2. Paul tells us to rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice in Philippians 4:4 .
This is so important to our Christian growth as we walk with the Lord. For me, the only way to absolutely rejoice in the Lord is to put my trust in Him. Trusting as the days go by; trusting as the moments fly. Trusting Him what e’er befall. Trusting Jesus that is all as the old hymn says.
When we truly worship the God of heaven and earth; the God of Abraham and Isaac; the God of Paul; we will be able to REJOICE in the trials that come our way and we will be ready to run the race He has set before us when He calls because He is faithful. Our hope is in the Lord God Almighty! It’s time to REJOICE…Batter Up!
