God IS Able (Part 2)

How Will You Be Clothed Today?

God is able. He is powerful. He is persistent. He is God and God alone. With our trust in Him, we are able. Not on our own merits. Only with God at the helm of our life are we able.

Our world tells us otherwise. If we eat right( A personal chef maybe?); exercise our bodies and our minds (A personal trainer and a life coach); educate ourselves ( Private tutor); get adequate rest ( A nanny and a housekeeper); follow our schedules explicitly ( A personal assistant); and the list could go on and on. Yet, that’s not reality for me and I would guess it’s not reality for you either.

But, the reality is, we are all able when we allow Him to be at the helm of our lives.

We all have access to the armor of God. In Ephesians 6:10-18

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.  Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.  In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. –Ephesians 6:10-18

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. -Colossians 3:12

Try inserting God’s Armor into Colossians 3:12.

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion(Belt of truth); kindness (Breastplate of righteousness); humility (Feet of peace); gentleness (Shield of Faith); and patience (Helmet of salvation and the Sword of the spirit- God’s Word.)
Colossians 3:12

We don’t know what today holds; but we do know who holds us to meet the challenges of today. -Judy Turner

“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
-Matthew 5: 11- 12

We are able when we place our faith and our trust in Him and only Him who IS able.

Until We Meet Again

1. Has there been a slight or maybe a giant movement of God’s placement in your life? Is He totally at the helm? If not, get things right with Him today; right now.

2. There are some areas I need a change of clothes. How about you? Are you with me? (Colossians 3:12)

3. If we’re getting abuse, we must be doing something right! Thank Him for your present situations and let HIM be your strength, your shield, your belt, your breastplate, your feet of peace, your helmet and sword by trusting in and living by His word!
