Flowers: The stages of growth are incredible!

Flowers have always brought me joy! We send them to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, or to apologize and the list goes on and on including multiple ways and situations that flowers make things right or make things better in situations and friendships. Think for a moment about the most recent time you were given flowers or bought flowers for someone else. What was your motive behind this purchase? Was it successful? Were you able to join in and celebrate with your Imperfect Grands? The Lord, Jesus Christ, wants to celebrate with us in this very same way.

His love, brings me joy! His love, brings me hope! His love, brings me peace! His love, gives me eternal life, when I ask Him into my heart! Have you asked Him? Will you ask Him? What are you waiting on? You and I need to bloom for His Kingdom’s glory. What do you need help with? Ask him!

My friend, Georgia, likes to give amaryllis buds for Christmas. Last year was no different except I was waiting for my Nephrectomy due to renal cell carcinoma. Mesmerized by the beauty and the miracle with which an amaryllis bud blooms, I spent many hours observing this bulb! Checking out of my present dilemma to marvel at God’s beauty. First, the leaves come; then from the bud from the leaves and the process continues. When we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior choosing to follow Him, daily, our bulb grows and before long we have produced leaves just like an amaryllis and then as we continue to grow in our love for and knowledge of Him, our bud begins to open and our petals are wanting to burst forth with the beauty and grandeur they are known for. Is your bud opening with blooms for the flowers of Christ to bloom? Where are you actively blooming for Christ right now? Scripture says in Matthew 6:28-30 NIV

28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?

And 1 Peter 1:24–25 says:

“All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, 25 but the word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is the word that was preached to you.
